Woodlands constructed a large area of decking and undertook
considerable groundworks and landscaping at the Lookout,
Sutton Poytnz.
The site of the house is on the side of a hill which meant
the construction was far from conventional as the decking
comprised of a large steel construction, hardwood decking
on various levels, glass balustrade and a sunken hot-tub.
The landscaping also involved constructing a retaining
wall of gabions and railway sleeper steps.
Woodlands building and landscaping were more than able
to cope with the unusual nature of the work and had much
input to the design over the overall effect. They were
also unique in that unlike most tradesman in this industry,
they had an extremely high work ethic where they started
early and worked continuously throughout the day at a
rapid pace. They also work in a very organised manner
where they leave very little mess, even their machinery
and tools are unusually clean and tidy.
If you require a high quality job by a reliable, highly
organised team then i would have no hesitation in recommending
them to members of the public or as sub-contractors.

We took on a major project in July 2006 and instructed
Aaron and his team that we had 6 weeks to complete the
work. The project involved turning an old fashioned 1850
rectory into a fabulous family home and a smart bed and
breakfast. Aaron called on his local knowledge and contacts
to provide all the necessary skills and labour required
and with his dedicated team as well they did a wonderful
job. He acted as project manager and kept all the different
trades people organised and built 6 en-suite rooms in
that time. Along with painters and decorators the whole
house was given a makeover and a new lease of life. The
team were neat and tidy and always punctual. Aaron has
a good eye for detail, is a perfectionist and won't let
anyone tell him that something can't be done! The project
came in on time and only slightly over budget!!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank woodlands
for a good professional job they carried out at our property.
Amberwell is built on a hillside, and a very difficult
site to get heavy equipment down to, but they managed
and were able to remove 60 tons of hardcore. We now have
a wonderful 300 square metre lawn.
A job well done, with a good workforce. The price was
right to. The only thing was they love bacon butties.
